FLOWER is seeking dedicated volunteers to work closely with rural schools in the Eastern Region of Ghana to further develop their network of Girls Clubs. Currently the 24 established Girls Clubs are run entirely through the volunteer efforts of local teachers and additional assistance is required to keep them going. This position will include the following duties: *Wider dissemination of a Girls Club teaching manual published for the region *Running activities with Girls Club leaders *Providing support and advice to volunteer leaders in the area *Arranging larger club meetings to network leaders and participants *Proposal writing to fund ongoing activities *Planning and implementation of a 3-day girls club camp for 20 to 30 girls aged 12 to 21 *Provide some additional basic computer training to in-country staff as time allows The successful volunteer will be based out of the community of Asamankese and will regularly visit schools within the town and in the surrounding rural areas. The tentative schedule for this position is Monday to Friday from 8 AM to 3 PM. Some casual weekend work may be necessary.
