FLOWER is currently seeking a dynamic, mature self-starter to act as a Program Assistant in our head office, located in Asamankese (Ghana, West Africa). The successful applicant will undertake some of the following duties: *Assistance with the development of a medium-term plan for our livelihoods project (soap-making, batik making, dressmaking and hairdressing) *Directing grant seeking activities in relation to livelihoods project *Networking with local and international non-profit organizations concerned with the welfare of female children in rural Africa *Running regular meetings with stakeholders to determine efficacy of programming *Providing support to Executive Director as needed The successful volunteer can expect to be treated as an equal within the organization and innovative program ideas are welcome. The ability to work both independently and as part of a larger team is key. The following skills are required for this position: *Bachelor degree in a relevant field *Minimum six months experience working in an office setting *Above average computer skills (MS Office, Internet, MS PowerPoint and Excel) *Some experience with grant writing and/or fundraising *Comfortable working independently and as part of a diverse team *Experience working cross-culturally required *Patient and flexible *Able to commit for a minimum of twelve weeks in-country Interested applicants should send a copy of their current resume with a brief cover letter to our Volunteer Coordinator, Erin Anderson, at
